"You'll never feel like it"

 Some days have really passed since my last blog. I was waiting for the "I now feel like writing feeling", obviously it was not forthcoming. The truth is the difficult things are the most valuable but we don't like doing them. It may be waking up without hitting the snooze alarm,going to the gym or even reading a book. The mind is designed to protect us thus when doing a difficult thing it magnifies the problem thus the many excuses we tell ourselves. Many achievers have told us that in order to succeed we must control our mind ,I am fascinated by Eliud Kipchoge(one of the greatest marathon runners) who always says that "if you don't rule your mind it will rule you". So we must learn to control our mind.  When the mind tries to trick you ,there are metacognition techniques(metacognition is the ability to control your mind)that you can use. I strongly advocate for the '5 second rule' by Mel Robbins .It basically states they if you don't feel like ...

 So in high school ,we had amateur football matches;amateur meaning just for fun. There was team A and team B. I personally was not a good player so I was in Team B( a team not known for its football exploits).I was a substitute in team B. Minutes after the game started our team had been scored against two times and the goalkeeper was in an emotional wreck. He could not take it anymore. I thought of myself as a striker but guys called upon me to be the goalkeeper. It was going well ,I had saved a few weak shots. I started gaining confidence ,I told my defenders to go into midfield to help us score. Suddenly, a midfielder of team A hit the ball in front so that the striker could catch up to it.The striker was a huge guy known for bullying. As he caught up to the ball ,thought flooded my mind.
